How good were Riddy and Govin tonight, but Basil needs to have a quiet word with Mick re the penalities he gives away.

i really do like mick govin as a player, as i've said on here a couple of times. His distribution and reading of the game are as good as any i've seen. Riddy has really come along, showing much more maturity, and seems to have picked up some pace. His range of passing to either side is exceptional. Hope he continues his improvement.

Govin changed the match when he came on the play became faster and more fluent
some of the rugby played by Leigh was brilliant both defensively and on attack
and i believe we are gonna get better best team spirit ive seen at Leigh for years

We seemed to speed up when he came on, hope he stays fit, just needs to stop giving pens away.

I honestly thought Ellis had a really good game, great distribution from the boot as well

its good to see ridgard and ellis kicking because both of them are top class and seeing 5th tackle going to ridgard then passing to ellis to kick must be confusing to the opposition . bring it on


either 1 of them are quality kickers

Jimmy Taylor for me was a mountain in defence. Made four cracking tackles on the trott. He was also excellent in attack and never took a step backward. Tommy Goulden also had a very good game. Highlight of the game Deanos tackle on whoever it was but he cut him in half. JTesque. Can't knock Mick Nannyn anymore as he deserves a special mention as he has turned his game around the same way as Steve Maden and looks very comfortable in the team now. Talking of Steve he took a cracking high ball under preasure. It's getting very hard to pick a MOM at the moment they all are fantastic. IM picked out Millsy as a fantastic aquisition and he most certainly is. We neee a roar for when big Dave takes that ball in from the kick off.

mills changed the game, and is looking a class act, and i shall hold my hands up, and say i had my doubts about govin coming back, not because i don't rate him, but because of his injuries, but boy he has impressed, looked class tonight along with many others.

Don't see anyone else in our class. Its taken me until tonight to see just how good we are. Taken widnes to the cleaners twice, stuffed batley away (even won the uphill half) battered sheffield, showed character to come from behind against barrow away (and against widnes both times!). Got big hopes for this season

The game changed when Govin came on but 1-17 were immense.

Watch how Ellis controls a game, best scrum half at Leigh for a long time, he and Riddy are fast becoming the best half back pairing in this league.

I agree Gov turned the game tonight but Mom tonight had to be Mills!!! As soon as he came on widnes didn't know what had hit em and to think he came here on trial makes me and a few hundred more leythers p!ss. Him and hilly were outstanding and widnes couldn't match us in the forwards.

I also thought Mitchell came back well having been subbed early doors. A totally professional performance in the way they came back from a 12 pt deficit to win by that margin.

would be good to see both Govin and Duffs playing alongside each other both played very good last night but Govin stole the show

ellis and ridyard , followed by mills who made dints in the widnes defence after every run. nice to see him scoring 2 aswell!

our kicking game at times looked awesome! well done Jimmy T and chris hill aswell. Oh and mcgilvary you are a machine , some of his offloads and his kick to set up ellis was bob on!!!

Thought we looked light early doors with only 1 prop on then we went with 2 props and Govin and the rest is history.

MOM -Govin but Hill and Mills ruined them when they started to tire.

Isn't it good that we are not just picking Hilly all the time as MOM any more and I don't mean because he isn't playing as well its just because of all the talent we have in the team at the moment ,I find it hard to pick out anyone as the whole team are playing fantastic

ellis is realing enjoying himself now,just imagine when he truely believes in himself!!!

Mills is a monster he destroys defenses on his own

but I'll throw two new ones in the hat ,Hopkins and thornley when these kids come on they bring a great work attitude and give them 12 months and every club in super dooper land will be after them

is ellis actually signed with us, or did I hear somewhere he is on a season long loan deal?

whatever the case i think we should be looking to extend the contracts of all of our half backs for next season

just as an aside duffs hasn't had a mention on here, i think what he does in laying the platform is top class, his distribution from AHB is good too

we own him he is all ours
