I say the whole affair with Wakey stinks to high heaven. From their own management to the handling of all of this by the RFL. Everyone at the RFL has stood by and watched this come to a head and it wouldn't supprise me if it was not in their little plan right from the start.

This is clearly bad news.
However.....what are the management of Wakefield doing by betting the farm on a something they ultimately have not control over...ie getting in a situation where without planning permission on a stadium, they are in danger of going under.

Makes their job easier now and for what its worth i hate seeing a club in trouble no matter who it is and i feel sorry for John Kear ,he comes across as a decent bloke, spoke up for the champ clubs .

I don't like to hear that any RL club are in trouble, hope all turns out well for Wakey.

Another Franchise success story, I wonder if Stevo will attempt to answer the 2 fundamental questions below on what is supposed to justify the franchise farce :-

1) How many overseas players will play in SL in 2011 (3rd year in Franchise world) compared to the 2008 last of (P&R) season?

2) As it stopped boom and bust mentality? How do we measure............. err lets see how many clubs went in to financial difficult in 2006 - 2008 compared with 2009 - 2011

Not good news at all, I feel sorry for any club & their true supporters when things like this happen.

A fresh start in our league may actually do them some good & they'll find out what their true fan base is.

The RFL website, under the story 'High Court Date For Wildcats', says that:-

Whilst many supporters may well think just that, surely the Game's governing body is out of order to print that statement?

The rumour is flying around again saying that in the new applications W$gans home ground will say Leigh Sports Village.

But we all know it doesn't exist so thats them out of SL then
