Its aimed at the false claimants of which there are plenty, some will be found and some won't, but you can guarantee the tabloids will soon be running stories of unfair removal of benefits. Thats if they have time to give interviews inbetween the football matches and dance clubs

I guess you have to start somewhere and the genuine claimants will ultimately be unaffected but as you say it will cause them stress worrying about it - no doubt one or 2 genuine claimants will get stung in the cuts. However, there is clearly a need to have a good look at the benefits system as the numbers of claimants that you see with seemingly nothing wrong with them and who have far more luxuries than your average working man is beyond a joke.

now to be serious for a minute I'm thinking of a way to find one of em an easy job so when the L.S.V.find and dismiss the steward who verbally abused that poor lady who wrote to the reporter last week they can take his place cos they only have to be half fit to do that job

I am not a Con-Demed fan either but the fact that they are going to make it that people will not be better off claiming than working has to be a good thing as long as its aimed at those that are work shy .The thing that annoys me immensely is those that know how to work the system and end up being better off than the hard working people ie when on benefits you don't pay for anything unlike people that work who usually pay for all the services ,there's steam coming out of my ears as i type

What i don't understand however is the fact that a person earning over 42,000 will not be able to get child benefit but if 2 people from same family earn say 38,000 each meaning 76,000 coming into the household they can

The cost involved in gathering everyones salaries and constant changes would be a costly adminstrative nightmare, which would make it a waste of time. The number of families this will affect 'unfairly' I would say is very very small, and it has already been stated that some other help would be forthcoming to stay at home mums.

There are people who try very hard to get a job and then there are those that have no intention whatsoever of going to work and its these people who need a very large and very hard kick up the ar@e ,too many folk know how to cheat their way onto incapacity benefit so kick um off it i say ,if they are fit for work ,its amazing how the walking stick comes out when they are getting a revue ,its all too easy to kid

I know a few who claim disability benefit and there`s nowt wrong with em......why should these people get extra money and sit on their backsides while others have to work, the people who are claiming the top benefits (fraudulently) are usually better off than people who work their knackers off for a living.
Catch em and make em repay all the extra money they have had over the years I say.

the guy next to me has not worked in TWENTY years, claims disability, yet has built an extension on to his house, a brick garage and a wooden shed.....all done with his own bare hands.

I was spitting blood a couple of years back when I was in Quality Save and I heard two scrotes with a million kids each talking and one said to the other 'I can't wait for my child beefits this month, i've got my tax and insurance for the Land Rover up this month and I will be able to go out at the weekend'.

I would be somewhat more convinced if they pledged a two-pronged attack. As well as cutting benefits for the work-shy, they made as much effort at clawing back some of the £120 Billion that the Revenue is not getting from those who (legally or illegally) avoid paying income tax...... but as this practice is inextricably linked with Tory party funding I won't be holding my breath!!

Higher rated PAYE will be fleeced next year, so its not just a one way street. Self employed will hopefully have loop holes removed soon but the simple facts are the last government was not interested in nailing the scroungers who play the system (the latest one is getting their kids diagnosed with behaviour illness) or the immigration problem.
We cannot afford the drain of the public spend levels, lets hope they hit the rogues and not the genuine needy. We have created a section of society who dont understand work ethics, this government MUST change that by making that section of society get out what they put in, because that section breed more than the grafters which gives a far bigger problem in years to come if not tackled now.
