I'm hearing rumors on the grape vine that Chris Hill is coming to Warrington in exchange for two of our lads. Has anyone else heard this?

Was on here a while ago but no real proof.

Was it Hill which signed that contract extension a couple of months back? It was announced after one of the home matches in the legends bar if memory serves.

Don't recall him signing an extension but I believe he has a year remaining on his existing deal anyroad?

Chris deserves his shot in the top flight.................No Leyther would deny him that and if it happens , we`ll all be looking at his performances.

Can't say fairer than that, and it's not often we have players leave with the best wishes of the fans

All Leythers who leave on the best of terms usually get a good reception..... Chris Hill certainly fits into this section,Top player who always gave 100%..

I sort of mentioned this earlier in the week. Unfortunatley for Leigh the two players will only be on loan for the season. No fee involved.

If they were proper full season loans could be worth their weight in gold mind you!

Hill certainly has a lot of talent and credit to him for initially sticking with Leigh, but now SL is off the agenda for at least another 5 years a move would make sense for him! Maybe his new deal was partly to make sure Leigh get good reward for his services?

Is he staying then?

Does he have a contract ?

And there worth hiw much these days?

And would you be suprised if the wordings 'If by 2011 Leigh are not in a posistion to apply for a SL franchise then if a SL club come in for the player he will be allowed to leave for x amount?'

Loyalty is one thing, but when were talking about missing out on top flight rugby in the main part of your career it's another... but of course the only players that leave Leigh are the one's that the club doesn't want

My point being is , until the club say chris Hill is leaving , he is staying , i know Chris very well , he loves it at Leigh , I know his GF and family , if he decides for the benifit of them to move to SL he will be wished well by every single Leigh fan

Until then , he has a contract at Leigh and is a Leigh player

If Chris Hill goes, fair play to him, he's a talented player and will be an England international in the next few years if he stays injury free. If we get two players from Warrington (Blythe and Mitchell?) I think we will have done well out of the deal too.

It's always nice when a home town boy signs for his hometown club
