I found out on Tuesday that the club are unable to run the half time draw at the forthcoming international.
Fully accept the fact that this is an RFL promotion in conjunction with the LSV but it seems sad and ironic that on the very first time the LSV is staging RL to a full 4 sided stadium that one of the clubs major fund raising assetts will not be allowed to take place. The RFL are also bringing their own team for programme sales as well, so if your blonde and buy one thinking its for the World Cup.........or you leave it on a table in the Park Inn (you know who you are

) forget a refund or replacement !!

Would like to have thought with a full house in prospect we could have obtained a sponser and in addition to a much bigger than normal cash prize also had a couple of further prizes ups for grabs and boosted the coffers of the club (at least to the point of offsetting some of the weekly losses incured producing the Centurion programme).........not to be though I'm afraid. Big SORRY folks..............

It's rediculous that LRLFC can't take advantage of this but I suppose typical of the RFL

Will our club shop be open selling a full range of merchandise for both England and Leigh??

I think it's quite right, to be honest as it's an England game, not a Leyth game.

That said, nowt to stop the club still operating a raffle and selling the tickets in pubs on the day etc - Wrexham AFC Supporters Club were doing this when I went to the Crusaders game.

Unfortunately Matt's right its an RFL event not an LSV or Leigh one, so nowt we can do on site.

Anybody know how tickets are selling?

I got 4 tickets this morning seemed to be loads left i got my tickets right where i wanted
South stand right behind the sticks 4 rows up, if we cant fill the ground for such an important international then we dont deserve top class RL at Leigh.........................

I haven't got mine yet but I will and I expect a lot will wait till they get paid at the end of May before getting their ticket.

The tickets are bloody good value @ £10 n £5 pity Leigh cant sell em so cheap..

Think I've seen it somewhere a family ticket (2+2) is £25

I have just had an email regarding my tickets from the RFL .........

It reads as follows...

Hello from the RFL

"RE England V France game at Leigh Stadium.

You may have received a spectator information sheet with your tickets that has the wrong date on the printed sheet.



Your tickets are correct and the game will be on the 12 June 2010 and not as shown on your spectator information sheet in July 2010.



So just to recap the game starts at 05.15pm on the 12 June 2010 at Leigh sports village.



We apologise for the confusion and any inconvenience this may has caused.

Didn't realise it was Leigh playing France.

If you took your argument to the other extreme you would say Salford and Quins had a massive RL following given the grand final and CC final crowds.

As it is, I think it will be pushing a sell out anyroad - heard some figures that have certainly reassured me. Will definitely be the biggest crowd that the LSV has seen based on current sales.

I wont be there to watch a SL XIII play

Its not, but you'll see it for footballs WC and the football nation goes crazy supporting our countries team.
Leigh is supposed to be a rugby town - if we can't get a few thousand towards this gate with help of SL clubs around us to fill the ground then its kind of a nail in the coffin of if the Leigh public want to see top RL week in week out.

I agree I think we should be there to support England. It is our side it is the game we follow. We need Englands best 17 and if they happen to play for other teams teams so what.

It is about pride in our countries sport lets get there and support them just as we would for our own club.

Was beginning to think I was the only person that thought that way!
