| Both, they were good and we looked very very tired. The RFL s decision to make us play Tues after playing Thurs and Fev having 10 days rest, has took its toll on us, lets hope we can refresh in time for the tricky Haven game.

| Both really Fev we're the better team yesterday[size=150 BUT [/size I still believe we are the better side. Our hard & busy work schedule we've recently had showed as we lacked the energy levels understandardly Fev we're alot sharper because they had a few week off from their last game. Stick a couple of DC players on when we play them away & we'll smash 'em

Thing is though you cant rely on the Dual Reg players as you do not know when they will be available. And as for amount of rest, you could say we were undercooked and you were match ready, its all just words, the fact is you lost a game of rugby.
As for the other comments from people about the RFL the ruling means you have an extra days rest for Whitehaven. And the gap between you playing Widnes and Fev will have been 4 days as will be the days rest before playing Whitehaven. The issue is you wanted and extra day to play a team you considered more of a threat ie Fev, whilst giving fev a day less rest to play the french into the bargain.

| As stated by others a bit of both, they'd had plenty of rest and time to prepare for this game, we've had three of our biggest games of the season, and it showed in both camps.

| how good was fevs defence in the first half.any other team that we've played so far would have been completly blown away they were that good
it reminded me of the widnes game in the playoffs a few years ago under terzis,we just didnt score enough points.i also think emmitt or a fit nash would have made a big differance in that first half, bibey was doing a double shift & it was to much to ask.
no doubt about it in the second half they were far more clinical than us last night with ball in hand.they punched to many holes in our defence & were faster out wide than us yet we lost by just 8 points.no worries yet.

| I was extremely impressed by Fev, particularly their defence and No6 Briggs who ran the show. We looked a little jaded and were half a yard off the pace. They destroyed us out wide, normally teams haven't got the ball out wide due to our line speed which was a little off tonight. No need to panic, I would have snatched someones hand off if they had given this at the start of the season. We'll be back on track at Whitehaven

I agee totally, I think Whitehaven are poor this season and we will be too good for them. The extra days rest may help

Lets hope you don't get to the Rail Cup final otherwise July could get into a bit of a moanathon with that there fixture list an all that.
At least you'll have had the same amount of rest as us on the 30th.......
We were a bit rusty on sunday after a 3 week lay off thats why we could only manage 46-24......its all a matter of opinion....for me if you win you win and you lose you lose......
Bit like the guy said earlier its all words.
Oh by the way good luck against us on the 30th.I hope you don't have as many injury problems as us!
Still you might be making everyone eat their words in July if you can do the business when the big matches come up.

| Aside from any tiredness issues on our part, I thought Fev were very good. Their defence was outstanding in the first half, we were camped in their 20 for considerable periods and only came up with one try. Had they had as much ball and territory as us in the first half then the game would have been all over. We couldnt bully them up front, their number 6 was excellent and they were quicker out wide, offloaded well and supported well.
Our tiredness must have come into it as I would have expected them to win by far more than 1 point at Widnes based on last night's performance.
The good thing is that this reality check gives Basil the opportunity to take us even further

| Playing Fev, 5 days after beating Widnes, for the top spot in the division, defending our unbeaten record...and coming away with a bonus point....upto to a few weeks ago, I would have snatched your hand off for that.
We are making great progress, but we haven't won anything yet, and other teams are going to have their day also.

Don't suppose anyone has a couple of spare car flags they no longer have use for.

| Leigh looked very jaded, last night,it was if Fev were saying cmon, show us what you have ,we will tackle you ALL NIGHT, we looked very tired.
To me Dave Alstead, looks as if something is bothering him, could be wrong, but imnot happy with Stanton on the wing, the lad tries no doubt ,but willnever break the line, with his style, and Robbie didnt look fit, just put it down to a bad night, roll on the Marras and Austin Powers.

| both true in my opinion but i was very impressed with fev and they are well coached.
their defence dealt with our slide attack very well, bit disappointed that we did not seem to have a plan b. in my humble opinion it was crying out for grubber kicks early in the tackle count because their defence rushed up very quickly

Are you Stevo???
I think when you are struggling for energy, the last thing you want to do is give the ball away.

| I was impressed with Fevs defence, that won them the game, I thought. We looked very tired, both in attack and defence. Ive no complaints, the best side won on the night. I was bemused by some of the refereeing decisions though. What was all that about, near the end of the game, when the Fev sub was shown a yellow card? Seems like Hicks makes his own rules up as he goes along!

at the end of the day we did not score enough points to win, we looked one dimensional.
if we did give possesion away it would be deep in their territory and then you have to back our defence. on the up-side it could have gained us 2 trys and possibly changed the match.
we should not die wondering...what would you suggest wayne bennett
