Be an opportunity at Whitehaven for him with the lack of full backs at their club currently. First team games playing at our level won't do him any harm. Anyone who knows Morty will know he'll be eager to impress and fight his way back into the Leigh team and i'm sure he will if he can put some good performances in for Haven.

It looks like Millward is watching the clubs money makes sense really if he can't get in the 1st team. Maybe he'll come back a better player & ready for our 1st team if we can still keep hold of him

Basil knows what hes doing, never doubted him.I said this a couple of weeks ago.

Good move for Morty, will get him some good first team experience. As long as he doesn't play us - and beat us.

Loanees can be recalled at any time, I always thought that was the case AFTER the initial month, but a couple of years ago the coaching staff were told by tyhe RFL that wasn't the case and they can recall at any time.
My guess is that Dale Cunniffe will be the other, I think Ainy is still elligable for the u21/reserves.

Sending players out on loan works for SL clubs,why cant it work for us aswell,it make sense let Haven pay Morts wages for a month and he gets match practice playing at a higher level than the reserves.I sometimes wonder if its worth having a reserve team,dont think Barrow and Halifax have one,you might aswell let your fringe players go to teams like Rochdale,Oldham and Swinton.Probably save the club certain amout of money over a season.

I think the main reason to have a reserve team is to look to bring on those 18/19/20 year olds who have been brought into the club with a view to joining the first team squad.
