Ive heard nothing official about this but it says on the Leigh East forum that each Amateur club in the area have been given an allocation of free tickets - adult and child ones - for the South Stand, so if your child goes to one of the clubs ASK them.

Chairmick (from the miners) also says that there are free family tickets also available and you get the application form from JR's, I will try and find more about this offer, but have posted this now as there is little time left so I apologise in advance if its incorrect.

200 family tickets ie 2 adults 2 children 16 or under first come serve basis
once there gone there gone spread the word lets get the place rockin with loads of screamin kids

I hope this free ticket allowance is policed properly on the day and only a familly of two adults and two children uses them.

And thats another problem with free tickets Tony it can be guaranteed some will be misused then those people will brag about it causing resentment against whom? Leigh Centurion of course not the perpertrators.

it doesn't say on the voucher if they are opening another stand but if they do there should be no problem with policing it.

I think I heard it said that it was all in the south sand and that the lsv were standing the stewarding costs (but I of course could be wrong) as i dont think Barow will bring many on a thursday night.

If it is right the LSV are standing the stewarding costs well done to them for that.

more freebies eh it's time summat was done for the season ticket holders soon be a waste of time buying one why not just not bother and then wait for the freebies

Well here is one season ticket holder (and I expect the majority) who is/are happy with this offer.

Maybe some will see the game' (their first time for awhile) and their kids will enjoy it and want to come again.

I applaud the club for using the Sky money in this way. And if we play well so much the better.

well this season ticket holder has already decided (yes so soon) that next season he will definitely not be purchasing one what I will do is go to all the away games and wait for the freemans coming along at home.

Your choice of course and I shall be at most away games too.

You'll have to pay though if we are drawn at home in the third round of the Challenge Cup but no doubt you'll get a free ticket for a home game that is televised on Thursday if you bring along another adult and two youngsters under eleven.

Doubt we will have more than two such Thursday night games a season to be honest.

Stop talking round shouldered man, you sound like a spoilt brat, get a grip of yourself. It is an innovative offer & is supported whole heartedly by The Watcher, who is most definitely a ST holder. (as a ST holder The Watcher gets around 5 free games a season).

yes I know all about it but last year I know people who were tollering about getting free tickets well tollering laughing really they went and haven't been to a match since, it's a matter of personal choice of course it is but personally I think it's a load of rubbish.

Well seems to me that says a lot more about their character Peawapp. Rather a pathetic thing to be if you think about it to think it is clever to let everyone you know that you are so small minded.

My advice and you don't have to take it is to stay well clear of such individuals.

yes well said frank your right of course but it does pee you off slightly it does me anyway, you know as well as I know there are loads of folk in our Town who take great delight in taking the mick out of the team we love all I'm saying is we shpuldn't give em tha chance.

The Co-Op provide the funding for the televised games. Home team gets 4k which they must use on a ticketing initiative. Stop moaning. Actually, thinking about it, season ticket holders deprive the club of three matches worth of entrance fees per ST, now who's the freeloader

Come on Peawapp don't be like that and I agree with Demon we do get a few freebies as season ticket holders that do deprive the club of a bit of dosh. I(t's a good job your not in the same business as me. I buy a season ticket and miss a load of games because I don't know where I will be working from one week to the next. I am in total agreement with these familly freebies as long as they are not abused.

The more the merrier IMO..... looks better on SKY and boosts our end of season average attendance figures (yes I`m a season ticket holder so wont be getting a freebie)

I am a season ticket holder - if we have 2000 paying/season ticket holders + 10000 freebies then I will be very happy. I long for a full stadium - maybe if those freebies enjoy it they will be happy to pay once the offers cease.

I am a season ticket holder and i dont mind the freebies as long as its not too often,and as for us getting free games and depriving the club of money well they do get our money up front so im sure that evens things out . The whole purpose of buying a season ticket is to support the club as well as the free games really.

Myself and I think Demon were just puting things into perspective over getting things for free. As a season ticket holder you get home league games at a discounted rate plus some NRC and Challenge cup games for nowt. A very good deal I think everyone will agree. I agree with the posts that the more the merrier and that they should not be freebies all the time. If the familly tickets get a couple of hundred more regular paying fans then they have done their job.

I know why they are doing the freebies its because we are on telly so the more the merrier for next thursday as there's nothing worse than an empty looking stadium on tv tut.I just hope that the people who normally pay dont take advantage of the offer ,thats defeating the object plus likes been said we need new fans to come back .
