i think she does a good job, saying it is not the sport she is used to.

can remember one of the 1st times she did commentating for the CC, she was clueless and a bit out of her depth, but the following season she was more or less up to speed with the rules and made some good points, you could tell she put time and effort in to learn about this sport.

He's a bit of an embarrasment really, especially considering its screened across the UK.

If he's not already done so, it's only a matter of time before he refers to a player as 'yon mon'.

Ray French is the senile old Aunt who confusingly tries to slip you the tounge when saying goodbye at the end of a Christening.

He mentioned something about Hudds runaround and kick which lead to their try in the 2nd half, rattling on about 'in my day'. WTF is that about?

It just sounded very Northern and very backward.

Although, to be fair it is a year or two since I've heard him refer to players boots being akin to 'carpet slippers', rather than the big Joe Walsh clogs they used to wear 'in my day'.

I'm glad Dave Woods is taking over - I think he's a really good commentator - we just need to get rid of Mr Rugby Union now and we'll be fine.
