Would this be a good idea for our home games?

I've struggled to get to quite a few Sunday games both home and away becuase of family comitments, days out etc etc - the normal kid of thing that family folk do on a Sunday. I've ended up going to most but it splitting the family day up and I'm sure I am not alone.

Given the stop start nature of the fixtures, it doesnt really lend itself to a regular Sunday routine not to mention cricket, football, etc on Sky.

I know of many others who given the choice of a couple of hours at LSV or a day out with the family go for the latter.

Is Saturday night rugby, 6 or 7pm kick off worth considering for next season?

My prefered time for our games from April through to the end of the season , I wanted that kick off time in SL

playing on a friday or saturday night will only get the hardcore who go now anyway

mr casual will get his rugby fix by watching the sky games in t'boozer

£16 gold coins to watch live, or free to watch a better standard in the pub with his mates??

Sunday 6.30pm sounds good to me

Fair comment, but isn't Mr Casual sitting in the pub already, using Super Sunday as a convenient excuse for not bothering?

What I am trying to get at is making Saturday rugby an 'evening out' for the family which does not clash with other Sunday activities, or the start of a 'night out' for lads and couples.

Saturday is definately worth a go for me.

You'd miss out on watching the Mighty City charge into the top 4 , with Sammy Eto'o leading the scoring charts



Personnaly I'd start the season on sundays's till about middle of april then jump to Saturday night 6 o clock

I'd go with that.

Next seaon - I would also forget any silly auction type idea for ST's (unless its going to be done properly), and just sell them at £x price, promotions of course for buying early or family type one etc of course. I ended up not bothering getting a ST because it was too much hassle

It was 1967 when Leigh played their 1st Sunday game....What happened b4 then ?

Rather than just saying I'm not going if they change, maybe best stating why. So we know. If its just a case of habit then surely back in '67 revolution of moving to Sundays the same reasons would be there.

this keeps coming up every so often, for what its worth, sunday at 3 is when rl should be played as far as i am concerned. friday nights are a nightmare, saturday night slightly better, but come on people will come up with excuses why they won't come no matter what time we played it, if we play entertaing exciting rl we will get people to come no matter what time we play it, this season has been really all over the place, we've played on a thurs a fri, a saturday a sunday and a monday and fax at home on a weds, we only need to get tues fixture and we'll of done the full week, SUNDAY IS RL DAY

first thing to sort is the gap between home games, Saturday or Sunday, this season has been a joke, is it too much to ask for home & away games 7 days apart?

RL didn't have the same competition for our spare time like we have now.
Sunday isn't a RL day for the empty seats that need filling (or spaces filled in North stand

and those empty seats/spaces would suddenly become full if we moved days when we played, i seriously doubt that. friday nights for away fans is shocking, yes i know it would not make much difference to us this year as we've had very few away fans, but i still say sunday rules for me.

The attendance for Hull FC match was not helped by the fact that the team was the worst Leigh side since pre-war times. (I do reckon mid 90s Leigh teams came pretty close).

Judging by our crowds this afternoon, the Sunday games [imight[/i be the one of the causes of that - I'm more than prepared to give Saturday's at 7pm a chance, though I would have it right the way through the season to save confusion. If it doesn't work then at least it isn't for the want of trying.
