Can you believe that W***n council have invited Billy bloody Boston? As far as I know there's only two people from Leigh Centurions been invited and that's Arthur Thomas and Allan Rowley - disgraceful!

Tommy HAS been invited - TWICE, by different Council people.

I did say as far as I know and I'm really pleased that he has as it's no more than he deserves but I'm more disgusted that Billy Boston has been invited - he's only ever stepped foot in the place once. What about all the people who have worked tirelessly for Leigh? What do they get? Oh yeah, they can take their passports in and watch from the terracing - disgusting!

That is an absolute disgrace and an insult to the entire town. Now the Queen wouldn't know the difference between Billy Boston and Billy Whizz, but thats not the point - what on earth does Billy Boston have to do with Leigh, or the stadium?



If any Leigh fans are allowed in they should boo the man on sight - if he had any decency he would decline the invitation.

Now whilst Boston is a RL legend and slating a man of such stature would be ignorant, but he has as much to do with Leigh as Billy Butlin does.

I'd sooner have the Elaine the Buttylass who for 3 years fed the lads who built the village.

Statements like this are a disgrace to Leigh RL.

Billy Boston is one of the finest rugby players ever to grace the game and a true gentleman as well.

It is not his fault that you are peeved that he has been asked to attend and to suggest booing him is ridiculous. It is an honour for him and his family and there is no way he should be expected to turn it down.

Billy is also a good mate of AT's and I have seen him often at HP, so nothing against a true RL legend please.

Please don't take my comments about Billy being invited as a slur to him personally. I know Billy and he's a nice man - it's the principle of a Wigan legend being invited to LSV - one question - WHY?
