| Well we won. Our lads must have been shattered after the midweek at Fev and it seems so must Fev judging by their result.
For those who think Hobson is a liability you needed to see his reaction to J Durbin when Swinton scored at the side of the posts.

| Very shoddy 2nd half but given the difficult game at Fev midweek its understandable that the lads would be out on their feet.

Well upset wasn't he!! Of course, whatever Durbin's fault, the Swinton tryscorer waltzed past (luckily!!) Hobson's lazy outstretched arm!

| Poor defensive display in second half out wide, and definate need for some of the more experienced players to come back to calm things down.
Alstead and Smith will make a differance and McConnel spelling Durbin will help keep up the momentum at dummy half.Big worry for me is when we play a really big set of forwards who could bully us a bit and I'm sure Haven will have a big set next week.

| Our Alex learned 3 or 4 new swear words today with Hobbo losing his rag with Durbin and then the Ref for an obstruction close to the line which lead to another try.
In fairness before he said *&&*$% *&££$$* ***££$& *** obstruction!!, he said [iSIR [/ifirst.
Daft as it seems I like places like Sedgley Park and the 'earthy' nature it brings.
Very tired and lethargic in the 2nd half, never got out of second gear, but Swinton suprised me with the pace and power they played with for 80 minutes.
Hobson MOM for me.

Jimmy for me, the lad tackled and ran his heart out.
Poor display from us really but considering we played mid-week I'll take the win. Our fatigue was evident in the second half as we started to drop from tackles but we need to get ready for the Haven game.
Jock will make a big difference spelling Durbin as he got ran at quite a bit today and teams will continue to target him.

| Jimmy T was outstanding again 2day he works his socks off every game. The lads were knackered after Wednesday but a wins a win in cup football. What dya reckon about Rourke? He's a big hard lad who likes to get stuck in, off todays performance he'll do for me!

He looks like another player who would be a good signing for us. He was very eager and flew into the tackles making some big hits in the process. Looks like he could do some damage with the ball in hand as well as he is a pretty big lad.

Nice to see him displaying this skill.
At the risk of incurring the wrath of several, I thought Watson had a good game too - involved in three tries, and did a lot of tackling, plus some inventive kicking.

He did tackle superb today, got targeted quite a bit but managed to stay strong other than the Moana try early on. He had a good game Watson, a nice try, solid defence and a 40/20 as well. At times he threw a few 'predictable' passes nut that was probably due to the lack of runners he had.

| One or two good performances today with Jimmy T outstanding. I thought that Rourke showed some promise.
We needed to kill them off during the the 1st 10 - 15 minutes of the 2nd half, but full credit to Swinton who threw the ball about well and pushed us until the end.

| well as has been said, weds awesome effort caught up with us, second half was poor, but understandable, and lets not take anything away from a very decent swinton show, they played some nice rl second half. taylor looks alot better this season, as does chris hill, who i think has been our stand out player all season. well we are in the quarters i guess with 7 points out of 9, reckon we will take haven next week, and the good news is i spoke to lee marsh, he tells me he should be back n time for the eagles game, and armistead is a knee injury, but again only a few weeks, reckon we'll need them, especially with hobson heading for a ban i assume.

Must beat Whitehaven - any of five can still finish above us - York, Fev, Whitehaven, Dewsbury, Doncaster.

| ...and if we don't....we still won't have beaten a Championship side......reality bites.
We will win though, but it sounds like Durbin will have to get used to hiding out on the wing in defence

| you'll find most half backs do that at times especially when they are targetted it shifts the oponents point of attack and allows the other team a better defensive pattern as the attacking team has to find another 'target' and when they think they have exploited that the coach changes it again and moves the jalf back, which is exactly what happened at Swinton.

| well i stand corrected on the qualification point, still reckon we'll beat haven, and lets be honest folks, do we deserve to go into next round if we can't beat haven at home, but i have comfidence in our boys, i am sure we'll see a top showing from them and ultimately qualification.
