Heard he was offered a deal lower than last year. But the club is waiting on the RFL meeting decision before offering more. He does wants to stay at the club though.

The club offered less money, well obviously they will offer less, they have less to spend, and afterall it was the players plus coaching staff that got us relegated.

Most clubs seem to be cutting their cloth accordingly except Fax and Barrow. Widnes have released quite a few and are wanting to scav 5 players on this stupid dual contract scheme. Nothing like bringing your own players through.

The lads confidence took a huge whack after being dropped in the deep end and drowning against more experienced opposition, and a scrum half who for the greater good needed to run the show his way.

There's no doubt he has got talent, it just needs tuning in for the pace of the pro game.

He looked good towards the end of the season, and should do well with the likes of Paul and Basil around him.

Felt he had a raw deal last season.Never let the team down and has bags of potential, plus he is a leyther. Get him signed, we need all the local lads we can get.

Been offered pay for play it seems to me there is no money to offer contracts because the majority of the dosh ( salary cap ) as been swallowed up by recent signings and contracts already in place from last season.............
