Looks like Barrow have signed Scott O'Brian on trial from Leigh Miner Rangers, Good luck Scott.

These players not good enough for Leigh? Or just a case of missing out? I mean young Fieldhouse at ours has looked absoulutley superb so far.

its not a case of either in my opinion its just we have as good if not better already at our club at the moment.

We clearly can't buy every good player who comes from Leigh. We'd have one hell of a big squad if we did.

A good player and a nice lad is Scott , I liked him playing for us when he had some sense , but alas back over the bridge he went and ruined our home league celebration last season



I hope they keep him until at least May so we can get our overdue win against The Dark Side on 27th April , should be another good un

Fieldhouse is from Warrington, plus we have a number of fullbacks, Scott has signed for us once and then gave 'backword' plus do we need any more half backs? we have two good young lads in the reserves awaiting their chances, good luck to all those players.

scott not signed out yet,he talking to a few clubs at moment like a few other players,word gets out lads talk to clubs then next thing they have signed.

Oh dear, someone at Barrow has jumped the gun. That said, no doubt that Scott should be playing professionally somewhere - he's an excellent player and will do well wherever he goes.

4 week trial, i think

After 4 weeks with des and schoey i think he'll be happy to back at the miners.

The thing that's most impressive is that if Leigh East or Leigh Miners lose a player which they both could end up doing here in Fieldhouse and O'Brien. Both clubs have such a good step up that players from the 2nds/18s can step into the 1st team and do as good a job, although they both are big losses for both teams when they don't play.

well he impressed me greatly last week v barrow, but i was of the impression we had or were about to sign him, but like has been stated he gave back word, its quite simple if somebody does not want to play for you, no matter how good he is then they are not worth it, we only want players were ever they come from who WANT to play for us, good look to him, but thanks we are doing ok a the present. Say we are top of the league.

According to the Barrow forum, O'Brien isn't going on trial there after all after being offered first team rugby elsewhere?
