I know it is only 2 games but I think its only fair that those who heavily rubbished Pauls appointment should stand up and be counted and give him his fair dues.

I was no real fan of his appointment but I am being proved wrong. On the evidence we have seen so far he is motivating the players, getting to grips with the discipline and providing some entertaining rugby.

Two games ago I was seriously starting to wonder if we were going to get pulled into a relegation dogfight - 6 points later I am not worried and believe now that a top 5 finish is possible.

KEEP IT UP PAUL - WELL DONE!

just like to say i too did not think rowley was the man for the job, i admit that, but so far i have been proved WRONMG, and all i can say is keep up the great work paul and keep proving people like me wrong, happy to have a go, but ewually happy to admit when i was incorrect, lads you were awesome last night.

As Barrie Mac said Rowley is a Leigh lad with Leigh RL running through his veins I never ever doubted him to be honest and he will suceed, when we threw the ball around we looked top 2 never mind top six, thats what the fans wanted and he has delivered it. How poor are Widnes

You contradict youself there as you say we looked a top 2 side then finish saying Widnes were poor , personally thought we played great and Widnes played well too they were still in it near the end but we played for the full 80 and never looked like giving it away they were too determined not to let this game slip . Anyway my point is Leigh played great as you said but you spoiled it by saying Widnes were poor why did you have to say that as it takes something away from our win , we were the better side on the night Widnes were not poor.

I meant that Widnes with the money they have spent the team they have on paper are poor not that they played badly and that meant we won. We were better than them thats why we won we played good stuff and wanted it which is most important. Hope this clear things up.

Yes under Paul, weve not lost .... however, Widnes are Crap atm so Ill get excited if we beat fax or even get within 20 points of them

Widnes only played as well as they were allowed. Once the ref clamped down on the forward passes (their first try came off a blatant forward pass) and offsides, they looked like they had run out of ideas. I thought we showed a lot of composure with and without the ball, and the discipline has definitely improved.

Also like to add that it was great to understand the substitutions!! With Kelly i was often baffled but Rowleys made sense and you could see what he was trying to achieve when he swapped things round. As soon as widnes looked like tiring we reduced our pack size and increased our mobility and scored 2 quick tries. Well done Paul!!

i also think we looked a lot fitter than we ave for a longwhile

The lads played 4 games (IIRC) in 2 weeks over Easter including a trip to France.
The break last week looks to have done them some good.

One thing is for sure though, they all played like either real or adopted Leythers and it was heartening to see such a team spirit and pride in the shirt

MM came fromWidnes academy but not sure where he was born.

I assumed Stewart was from the St.Helens area only because he played for them for what seemed like yonks (just checked wiki and he started playing for Hindley Juniors)

Stewart lives around this area I think, not sure where he is actually from there.

Iwill try to find out were he is from at the gym on monday watch this space.

I would guess Hindley if he started playing RL with them otherwise he would have been at Miners/Easts or one of the Pie sides if he was from the otherside

He played for Hindley Juniors so I assume he's quite local
