Exclusive - Hot off the press. The Leigh v. Sheffield Play off game will be played on the Thursday, September 2nd kick off 7-30pm. I know it suits a few people - and Im one of them.
Apparently Barrow v. Widnes has been discounted because Barrow are in turmoil.

How much do the LSV charge per game?
Do the CO-OP still stump up the 4k for 'promoting' televised games?
Could we not pay the stadium fee out of this, and have a charity event (like Oldham and others have done in the past??)
No admission fee- just donations to a charity of both clubs choice(s)?
Then fingers crossed we get the smogs in the next round!!  |

| Must admit I thought they'd go for the Barrow v Widnes playoff so am gutted at seeing another potentially decent gate and atmosphere go up in smoke 
Somebody must like us ,or is it because Millward and Robbie Paul are still 2 of the more famous RL personalities in the game these days ?
I suppose it comes down to it being cheaper to screen live from Leigh than Live from Barrow. |

'Stadium fee' is / was based on a percentage of the gate money. Also, we have to share the gate, in a play-off game, with the opposition. I'm not saying that crowd boosting initiatives are a bad thing (we need to attract people in somehow) but the above are a couple of hindrances to such schemes. |

Suits me fine I couldn't have made the Sunday game had it been then.
With regards to it being on TV I think the fact that Barrow have been taken apart the past month by a number of teams meant that this was the more attractive fixture.

A shared gate is a fantastic incentive .......... Sheff bring 3 fans and get rewarded with a return of ????.........I`d give them 100% of their last fans visit .  |
