He tackled like a demon today did Jimmy and that shot at the end completed his fine afternoon. What a machine this guy is.

Just relieved we won. Too much to ask for Widnes to get their fingers out as well wasn't it.

Tackle of the season. Watto spotted the weak spot and ambled over. The guy (15) was still feeling the effects after the game. Bet he'll be having nightmares for a week!

Two big hits in the 1st half lost them possession from which we scored from too. Man of match by a long chalk.

play seemed faster with him on the pitch and for a little guy he did enough tackling. shouldn't have been taken off Imo.

What a hit that was. Outstanding effort from JT as always, works like a trojan in defence every game he plays and his attacking game was very good today, slipping a few offloads out and gaining good PTB's.

Overall, an excellent team performance. Apart from Sheffield's purple patch of 10-15 minutes the defence was superb, in particularly the scramble defence close to the line.

Watson and Hemmingway linked well and Nanyn always looks a threat close to the line. The pack were superb, Smith and Taylor especially. Good to see Armistead (minus knee bandage) finally looking fit. Backs looked sharp. In fact, Stanton might get a pass soon



Sheffields very own version of Shandy Bass was sat about 6 rows in front of us in the West Stand - all specs and Desperate Dan chin. Full marks for supporting his team, but what a balloon



Good to see Dessie was sat a couple of rows behind us. I'm sure he enjoyed the win but it was hard to see behind the sunglasses and cap

. He may be 51, but he's still looks fit enough for a run out on the wing.

Todays defence was the best i've seen in a long time it was superb at times it goes to show the lads have it in um to both defend and attack in the same match ,great display boys more of the same please

Not heard it in a long while, to be honest (though no doubt it will rear it's head at Barrow now that you've mentioned it

). Shows what a positive atmosphere can do to the players, as I think they really responded to the support they received at 18-18.

That tackle from Taylor really was a season saver though. Had he not made it then I really feared the Seagulls would go right up the other end and pinch it, and then this evening would be a very different story on here!

Thought that incident was actually a huge kick in the nads for Sheffield as they thought they'd got through the worst of our pressure, only for us to get the ball back on their 20m!
