| There was none! As I was leaving the ground by car, the normal stewards were not present.
I think the situation was quite dangerous with the crowd mingling with traffic coming from two directions.
What happened?

| There is something wrong there. My thoughts were that they were told to hang around at the exit to look after Mr Hewer. He was given an escourt off the field and 10 mins before the end the stewards positioned themselves at the top of the steps near us. Mr Hewer needs to have a chat with himself.

| Certainly the longest it's taken me to get off the car park after the game tonight (about 20 minutes), just put it down to it being an evening game and an above average crowd.

I'll never forget the original Paul Rowley Testimonial in 2006, when Fax refused to play it, and we had to issue tickets to those in the ground before they could leave.
There were quite a few hundred, if not a thousand outside HP and the stewards met me at Chadwick Street, and cleared a path for my car through a sea of people, so I could get to the office. I felt really empowered that day! About a month or so later I was shown the door.

| the players are getting their act together and playing really well, its a pity that the people running the stewarding part of things are getting it so wrong.nearly an accident on way out and parents having to dodge between moving cars with their kids shouldnt happen.oh can someone shed some light on why a pile of stewards were stood in the soiled area at front of stadium.

| maybe they are not covered by insurances for clearing traffic? the only people in law who are legally allowed to stop a motor vehicle on a road is a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden on traffic duties, unless the law has changed since 1998/

| Is the road after the Leigh East/ estate turning LSV or public highway? That is the queation there is it not. If it is LSV then it's upto their stewards. If it is public highway it is upto the police and the club picks up the tab for it. Am I right there Fred? I think you will see some thing happen about this now the crowds are starting to increase.

| The definition of a public road is a legal minefield the usual one is 'where the public have access' and like has been said perhaps they have found out that they are NOT covered by insurance.
The police bill would be huge, and will not happen.

I am certain Fred is 100% correct on this issue.......if the stewards have not been "legally trained" in traffic control duties then they would be "walking in a minefield" !!

| I shall bring this up with the safety officer, but a little foot note is that they do read these forums for feedback.

| I brought up this problem following the last home match and was then called a liar by kevin bloody wilson, I hope he's reading this and would like to offer me an apology, although I wont hold my breath, the stewards up to two matches ago were doing a very good job with traffic control but now seem more interested in bullying little boys.

| I hoped that someone would assure us that the forum is read by those at the LSV. There are two issues, time to leave, and, more importantly, safety.
There was a really hazardous situation for the pedestrians leaving there tonight
On another point, why is there only one exit to the bypass? It has always been obvious to me that two are needed.
I wonder if LSV will want to embarrass themselves in this way when hosting the England game?

| Needs sorting before the international, if we are to hold bigger events at LSV then it needs to show a professional set-up in everything it does, as I've posted before I'd even like to see the bypass closed for a short time that day to allow traffic disperse.
Think a Free Park and Ride set up using the field opposite the Greyhound, (where the circus goes) wouldn't go a miss either, perhaps even a couple of others, using the local schools?

| They should be able to open the bollards through the estate at the opposite side of the ground after the match to let cars out then people on those car parks can be ushered to that exit thus easing the congestion.
