The only annoying thing is we'll have a stadium by 2011 (as sparkly as your own) and I doubt very much whether Celtic, Salford, Wakey or Cas (maybe even Saints) will have a ground fit for purpose. Will they kick any of those teams out in favour of you or us (even if either club won everything)? Would they chuff. It's all jumping through hoops for nothing.

Sounds to me like Halifax know they will be in trouble if they dont get in Super League yes they are top of the table but thems the rules

And even if it is an M62 club that gets in Widnes and Leigh have far better applications on stadia alone. Plus another yorkshire club would mean there would be 8 yorkshire teams out of 14 a little greedy i think....

the shay is above average but no where close to the facility the LSV is

Although from a fans side the LSV isnt home yet and we have had teething issues from an RFL prospective its first class and ticks every box in connection to stadia

OK it's not a nice as LSV, any jar head can see that. My point being it's better than some of the tat that's in Super League - even half finished. It won't matter unless we move our clubs to Southern Spain.

Theres not a gaurentee that Fax will win the northern rail cup or appear in the grand final this season or next.............those are the rules and unless they do one of these 2 things they wont get in when the next franchise happens........that goes for the rest of us also.

So basically the MP's went ahead with this with total disregard and lack of communication with the Halifax Chaiman, directors and all those involved with the running of the club ?

If that had been us some would have been calling for Allan Rowley to be publically beheaded and Paul to hung drawn and quartered, with the entire board of directors burnt at the stake (not that any would burn)

awesome you have a good stadium that has not even 2,000 people in it every week. we are the second best supported club in the league at the minute behind widnes. if we win the grand final for the next 3 years are the RFL still going to ignore us.

i can imagine the uprore if gateshead and toulouse are the next teams cause widnes and halifax will have something to say about that.

if we are going on good stadiums though ours will be completed and will be better than cas, wakey, saints, celtic, salford. so we have to kick them out if we are going to go purely on stadium.

I respect Halifax as a club but the RFL wont promote them simply because of the current number of Yorkshire clubs in Super League.

But it isn'r purely on that! it's all about geographical location and unfortunatley neither of us fit that

agreed, our crowds are crap. We have a new ground yes, but are worst team for about 15 years. Fax are top of the table, playing great rugby, and your average will be 'boosted by 2 Widnes home games'.

Fax's last 3 home crowds: 2, 022 + 2,002 + 2,184
Leigh's last 3 home crowds 2,307, 2.177 + 1,727

point taken, but both should be getting bigger crowds, albeit for different reasons. Widnes's crowds puts us all to shame.
