Matches against Huddersfield are really quite dull, the floodlight failure has been the only highlight since we beat them in the 8s. Having said that the weather didn't help at all and makes for a subdued crowd too but full credit to Derek for going all in with the Greatest Show theme. I too would have gone with O'Neil as MoM, bit worried about not seeing Frankie come back on though. Nice to see Edwin tied down for 6 years, that is a lot of people's wishes granted.

Solid win that I never felt was in doubt if we just cut out the errors. Complete high and we are going to be very hard to beat this season. Hudds look very average and nobody really stood out. Lolohea looks out of shape and slow. I was half hoping Leigh looked at Burgess for a 2 year contract but after watching him for 2 games now, he also looks out of shape and not very interested. Not our best game but 2 from 2, Edwin for 6 and a young team starting to click in the second half. Also 8.5 K in the stands. Good time to be a Leyther.

Lottery conditions, but Leigh played them better than Giants did and consolidated our best SL start. Edwin with us for, basically, the rest of his top notch career. Bongser enjoyed his day off.
