Winning a first match is a very good start after previous years. That is was done away at Wigan speaks for itself. I'm most happiest for Lam Snr, always felt that his history with Wigan was a bit of a monkey on his back and it's good it's finally been put to bed.

Thought Leigh made a bit of a mess of that very last set as well, should really have got to the last play and drop goal attempt then as well.

We have if's as well, but my assessment of the game was, that it was a great spectacle for the sport, with the best officiating I've seen in a long while to let the game flow, which i found very entertaining with great defence, especially for the 1st match of the season. FWIW - I'm not a fan of GP.

Not sure of a great spectacle but a great battle between two good teams, I like to see a bit more flare and bum off the seat moments when watching games.
