Personally, I think where we finish will be determined by the quality or otherwise of our next two overseas signings. Prospects could be enhanced even further with a certain British half back signing from that team of old duffers up the East Lancs Road.
Until our recruitment - and retention - is finalised then it is too soon for me, for the moment, to speculate.
For those of us who remember the pain of the non-existent half back creativity in the performances against both Wigan and Hull KR at the end of last season - both were nillings - it surely has to be a quality half back signing that we need - preferably one who can also kick goals.
Rovers fan here, I'm looking forward to seeing Armstrong the young Aussie fullback from Newcastle. I watched him on Sky's NRL coverage last season and he's definitely one to watch, very very fast and follows half breaks perfectly. I think you've got a good one with him.
Hopes for the New Year? The Beeb website to publish an RL news item or, at least an opinion piece. It has been 10 days now. No shortage of blithering about other sports. Has Dave's quill dried up?
Thanks, Sep, for bridging the gap.
Happy New Year Leopards and all other RL fans.
