For the first time since 1982, we are the top English side in the table. After last night’s masterclass, who’se to say we won’t stay there? Warrington, Salford and Hull KR seem to have imploded, Wigan and Saints are still still inconsistent.
The only fly in n the ointment seems to be can we hold onto our best players. Apparently 4 NRL clubs are interested in Laclam, while John Asiata gets rave reviews each week. So Leigh fans enjoy the ride while we can!

Tough to argue with a thought that this is the best team since 1982. And I was a colt player at Leigh in those years so know the quality that the team had back then. Is it better than 82 ?

Not just the performance on the pitch that pleases me , it’s the all round professionalism as a club that I’m most thankful for. The game day experience is second to none, no stories being leaked by insiders or ex board members and all the players being a complete unit and no cliques.
Inevitable Lam will draw attention from not just NRL but also the likes of Wigan Saints etc .
People will say Derek can match players salary’s and whilst I don’t disagree he won’t be able to match the lure of something like the Gold Coast unfortunately.
There is only 1 person I don’t want to leave and that’s Lam Snr
