What £ from what "sales" of players going out ?
Leigh don't own any player's other than those on 2 year contracts *not many* & even those will have Super League & NRL clauses. So there won't be any money from sales as we can't sell what we do not own !

sorry guys the point i was making was as a example is

if a player can get 80k for a new contract elsewere and we replace him with a player for 40k thats 40k saved just like that and a few more like that and its good business

Just how many would be on £80k a year? If you want a 25 man squad on £80k each that equals £2m which breaks the cap. The cap runs in real time, so a player could be valued at £100K from the previous season. His value (on the cap)will still be at £100k not the £40k you paid for him.

I think Ben Harrison was an example. £40k but his salary cap value was £110k. Hence DB didn’t go down that road.
