LOng term replacement for Houghton at 9. They are looking to spell him for Danny next year and learn the role from him. Shame, Mickey could have done the same for him at Leigh. I guess the pull of his home City and family is understandable.

I'm guessing it was Joe who only wanted a 1 year deal, not the club.

He’s played his tripe out for us. I’m not surprised that SL teams are interested. He does look like a great prospect at 9 with his stamina, speed and guts.
Hope we can keep him to the end of the season (and beyond) but all the best to him IF there is any truth in this.

Maybe we should try him at 9 and have a look.

I understand the pull of his home town but Joe is loving life at Leigh and the lads all really look after the boy as well.

We are going FT next year so plenty opportunities for Joe to think about. A young talented lad with his head screwed on.
