This totally!!

I like everyone else have enjoyed the ride in going to SL and making a fist of it.
With a better coach and a well managed club we should have stayed in SL but that is all now history as we look to just exist next year as without backers the club will struggle..
I'm not sure why the consortium that came in to buy the club and put it on a level footing fell apart and allowed the risk that Derek would become purely the person left holding the clubs fate on his decisions(which have been well intentioned) as once that happened we became a risk.

Not knocking Derek as he's sunk a fortune in but the club cannot ever be allowed to be run by one person as when he gets bored or can't afford to justify the outlay then its shake the collection cans to save Leigh time.

I'm hoping a Plan B is in the pipeline as otherwise this club has learned nothing after going bust in what seems like a rolling 8 year cycle.

Worrying times ahead.

That squad on paper should have walked into the top 4.. And you only blame Cunningham,amazing.

Blaming kc seems the easy way out , derek only employed him when he realised we was getting relegated from SL. Let's deflect the from me eh . Do folk really think kc made the whole decision of releasing that full team ? ... if you do you really need to wake up & smell the coffee

I blame Cunningham more than the others because he brought him in half way through sl and look at results since he came to the club,he's the one that told Derek last year's team didn't deserve the money they was on and he's was the one that picked this year's squad..look at saints team when he was in charge they was shocking and he had long as defence coach

they got rid then suddenly saints started to play attacking and winning,purtill came in at Leigh and told Cunningham to stay away from the coaching and suddenly we started to play attacking rugby and winning

Cunningham needs to go and the new owners will make that there priority if they have any sense. Purts and Anderson for me are the right men for the job next season we need everyone to get behind the club I think a few dark days before it all comes good again
