As far as I'm aware the video ref review can only be called upon for technical issues.I'm not sure in whether he can ask their opinion or not on foul play.
Thanks reffy. Maybe it should be considered when having to make such a big call,like giving a red. In Thaler's defense,it looked a straight red until it was played back.
The VR could be used for 'game changing' decisions only, we don't want him available to assist will other things the ref isn't sure of or we would never get home
However it would only apply in televised games so the only solution is to scrap the VR altogether, arguments in pubs were always better when there was no answer available.
