| Further to comments made on social media Leigh Centurions wish to make it clear that there are no restrictions placed on Club Owner Mr Derek Beaumont or the Leigh Centurions Board of Directors for the Kingstone Press Championship Round 4 fixture between the two clubs this Sunday (3pm).
Clearly there were issues last season which were well documented but they were last season and both clubs wish to leave them there and look to the future.
Mr Beaumont stated: “It is unfair to suggest that there is any exclusion surrounding me attending Odsal on Sunday. I have family arrangements and any non-attendance is my personal choice and in no way influenced by previous issues between our respective clubs.
"Likewise if I was able to attend and chose to sit in a non-director area it would be again my personal choice.
"Bradford have made it clear I am welcome to attend for their usual hospitality. Likewise Marc Green and his officials will be made welcome to the Leigh Sports Village for the return fixture.
"I would urge all our fans to make the trip to support our boys. Last season saw a record crowd for the Championship and an entertaining game finishing with a draw. I am sure the Bradford faithful will turn out in force and our boys will be very grateful to those that make the trip to support them.
"Whilst Bradford remain serious competition to us and have their own ambitions I would like to wish them well for the season, obviously not at our expense. I see no reason why a couple of teams cannot get promoted within the new structure and that is not limited to Leigh and Bradford.
"The faster and more competitive the Championship gets the more likely that is to happen. Either way enjoy the game and have a safe return journey.”
