| Leigh Centurions invite all supporters to buy raffle tickets in aid of Wigan & Leigh Hospice in memory of Tommy Sale MBE after a magnificent gesture by Neil Wilcock.
Earlier this weekend Neil won the Facebook auction for this season's Tom Armstrong shirt sponsored in memory of Tommy Sale. Tommy's grandson Stefan invited bids with the winning bid adding to the Memorial Fund distributed equally between Wigan & Leigh Hospice, Mencap and the RFL Benevolent Fund.
Neil has now donated the shirt to the Club to offer as a raffle prize with all proceeds going to Wigan & Leigh Hospice. The aim is to raise at least £500 for a local charity very close to Tommy's heart.
In addition Leigh Centurions owner Derek Beaumont has donated two VIP tickets to the Leigh versus Wigan game, where the shirt will be presented to the winner by Tom on stage after the game.
The replica shirt has been signed by the first team squad and has Armstrong and 24 in the design (i.e not printed on after) and is truly a one-off. The size is Men's Large
Raffle tickets are now on sale during opening hours at LSV Ticket Office, Leigh Centurions Retail unit, Britannia Pub, Hilton Park Pub, Leigh East clubhouse and Dave Brown Tanning Shop on Leigh Road.
Tickets are £5 each with all proceeds going to Wigan & Leigh Hospice. Tickets will be on sale until Thursday 14th January and the draw will be made on Friday 15th with the winner being contacted and announced the same day.
Helen Harvey and Kath O'Donnell are kindly co-ordinating the selling of the raffle tickets.
Derek Beaumont said: " I'm sure lots of our supporters will have a fiver punt for such a special prize and back Neil's fantastic gesture and support this special charity which was close to Tommy's heart."
