Has anyone else been watching the RLWC 2017 Qualifiers Americas? It's been entertaining. Last night Canada came back from 18-0 down to draw 18 all in the last minute & knock Jamaica out (felt a bit sorry for Jamaica really, they dominated for 60/70 min).

Do we still have some connection to the Toronto Centurions? Remember Leigh sending them some old kits the other year.

Didn't watch it but followed it on Twitter. If Canada beat the U.S. this weekend they will qualify. And the U.S. Don't have the same team as the last World Cup because of politics and other factors, so we have a very decent chance.

I'm not aware of a definite Leigh link these days. Indirectly Paul Byrne has retired as a referee but I believe is involved in ref development. I stepped back from active involvement as I couldn't commit to it. Stuart Donlan is no longer the coach.

Really hope they make it to the World Cup as RL is ready made for Canada in terms of the physicality...

USA beat Canada 34-24 last night to qualify for 2017 RLWC

It was streamed online.
Was an entertaining tournament, not the best quality but it'll be interesting to see how USA do at the world cup with a few more players and a bit more game time in the build up.
