I took on board your criticism about my last composition being a negative about another team rather than a positive about our mighty Leigh Centurions.
So - as I promised you - I have sat down and, with a certain chap coming to the lsv this week, I thought wouldn't it be nice to sing the praises of our lads to the tune of an Elton John song?
Sadly, due to a prior engagement, I can't make it to the concert but if are going and - with your connections - you bump into EJ before (or at) the gig, perhaps you can thrust a copy of the words in his direction and ask him to sing the Centurions version in celebration of the lads' incredible start to the season of which we are all very, very proud?
=#FF0000CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT ?
(DEDICATED TO THE LEIGH CENTURIONS)
There's a calm surrender
To the rush of day
When the heat of a rolling world
Can be turned away
An enchanted moment
And it sees me through
It's paradise for this loyal Leyther
Just to be with you
And can you feel the love tonight?
It is where we are
It's enough for this wide-eyed follower
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight?
Across the great North West
Watching those thirteen kings and vagabonds
Be-Leigh-ve! They’re the very best
There's a place for everyone
If you want to see
A twisting kaleidoscope
Of moves at the LSV
There's a rhyme and reason
Why we sing out loud
For yet another season
They’ve really done us proud!
And can you feel the love tonight?
It is where we are
It's enough for this wide-eyed follower
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight?
Across the great North West
Watching those thirteen kings and vagabonds
Be-Leigh-ve! They’re the very best
Watch those thirteen kings and vagabonds
And Be-Leigh-ve! They’re the very best!

Well done Hilton John
I wont be at the LSV on Saturday Night , as im at Haydock Park , and Elton thinks "Saturday Nights are Alright for Fighting "
maybe we should be playing Fax
.I think your Composition is very good , though im not a Singer myself , I would love to see our Great team run out to Love Affairs "Bringing on back the Good Times ", the words are very appropriate and the tune is very good .Anyway again good Lyrics with your Song .
