It was cold there the other day though Keith. We keep an eye on the weather in Naples and it was only 4 degrees warmer than here. Tht is not shorts and T shirt weather.

Well i dont think hopkins will see alot if 1st team action. Reason being, he has 29 as his squad number, not gone on warm weather camp, better and more experienced players in front of him. I have said this before, i really think he could of done with staying with us for at least 1 if not 2 seasons, to develop and really dominate our league. When hilly left us, he was imo clearly the best forward in our league, head and shoulders better than any other player, the same cant be said about sam, maybe in time, but my guess unless they get injures, hopkins will be loaned out.

We are in Florida at the minute and have been lucky enough to be invited down to the National Training Centre in Clermont Florida to watch the Warriors train, the weather is pretty warm 18oC today rising to around 28oC from tomorrow onwards. Having spoke to Sam at Penkys Wedding and spoke to Shaun Wane today about Sam I can tell you that Sam was gutted not to be doing pre season in Florida, However it was decided he would go to France instead mainly for the reasons Keith says, by Sams own admission the jump from championship to Superleague is huge, but like Keith says also, it's all about learning the new systems, plays, patterns etc. France is the best place for Hoppy at the minute as he needs to learn to walk again before he can run, I'm sure with the Wigan Coaching staffs guidance he will become an even better player.

There's a very big jump between being one of the best at Leigh and being a reserve at Wigan. There's a hell of a lot of back rowers competing for four positions (3 starting 1 bench) at the moment as well, Farrell, O'Loughlin, Clubb, Bateman, Hughes, Burke, Hopkins, Lloyd and Lever all in the mix. Plus Pettybourne and Flower who may well be considered there at some point
