Its sad to see the end of the N.R.C. the new structured league is still up in the air with the S.L Clubs not wanting to make any decisions until the World Cup has finished.
The format of the N.R.C.has always caused issues and not been a good money spinner, especially in the early rounds. Maybe a Floodlight Cup type comp would be a far better idea with a straight forward Knock Out.
A number of Championship Clubs are are staging World Cup Games with loads if tickets being sold, why cant we try and force the R.F.L. and S.L to make a decision over the league with the threat of these games being cancelled.
As i see it we have nothing to loose and plenty to gain, its probably the first time in ten years since we have had something to bargain with. We are just asking them to have their vote before the World Cup which was supposed to happen anyway.
If they vote after the comp and choose to go it alone then our future with no promotion will be doomed and all the hard work and money the new board have put in will be in vain.
For those who have not signed yet this competition is becoming the Championships Challenge Cup.
Get it signed and I will try to get next years Final back at Blackpool at a reasonable price.
My mate who is Chairman of Blackpool footie will charge our game a reasonable price for the hire of the stadium otherwise he can stuff that pint I owe him.
Well I spotted it on the Fax Board so I think most fans who read this site will be aware of it.
Next seasons fixtures are usually out at the end of November so if the NRC is to continue we should find out soon enough. Without it it is a very short season for clubs in Championship 1.
