EAST LADIES THROUGH TO GRAND FINAL AFTER LAST GASP VICTORY

Leigh East ladies march through to the final after a last gasp try to seal victory over minor premiers Crosfields on Sunday in a game that was a brilliant advert for womens rugby league. Tries for Leigh East came from: Faye Gaskin 2, Hayley Spreadborough, Claire Mullaney and the match winner Gillian Aspin with Claire Mullaney adding 4 conversions. Natalie Weaving was awarded Player of the Match after powerful running and bone crunching tackles throughout the game. The final will be played on the 20th October, The venue and kick off time is still to be confirmed.
