I was 13, I remember my dad had just got a new car, a Red Vauxhall Victor, and we went down in that. Had breakfast at Watford, then parked the car at his friends house in Enfield and went to Wembley on the train. Remember the day like it was yesterday, cant believe its 42 years ago. Funnily enough, I was rummaging about in the attic and found the scarf my auntie made specially for the final, wore it for the first time in over 40 years for the recent Batley game.

Still seems like yesterday. Will celebrate when we beat Fev!

42 years ago today me and my mates arrived back in Leigh around 11 30pm. We waited for the White Lion to open so we could be in the Town Hall Square for when the team got home.

Was a better day than the one before although I had lost my voice.

Day after we heard Alex was going to Warrington

BTW Charlie was 25 way back then.
