Tho with the rules of the play offs in SL being as they are now, the advantage of finishing top isn't a great motivator as it used to be.

No, lets try to win more than we lose and in the process (if able) play as much attractive RL as possible, we need to drum up our support by any means possible and playing winning RL helps.
Leeds and Sheffield I don't think planned how things worked out, its just that our league structures currently allows a club to be crowned as a champions despite being poor or not the most consistent / best team over the entire season !

Guess if this tactic could be 'bottled' then it would be magical.
Sadly we will stuff Sheffield in the league, then lose to them in the play offs.

Watched the reds a few times in the 70's with my Dad, but guess I'm a blue now....a HARTLEPOOL one !

I'am not saying to looose games but PR needs to look after his Team the best he can for the money and crowd end of the season.
