It is with great sadness that i report that Kath passed away on friday following a long battle against cancer for those of you that knew her you will remember her as loud opinionated and never wrong but above all that she was a true leyther, Kaths first match was back in the late 40's against a touring Kiwi team (i think) and her last match was the away game against Swinton over the years she has helped the club in many roles from washing the kit to tea lady and mostly as a lottery agent her favorite ever player was Trevor Allen

RIP Kath. I don't know if it is the same Kath, but did she sit with a group at the back of the west stand north, near the centre line?

R.I.P. Kath

I've known Kath all my life and went to many reserve matches with her ar Hilton Park. She loved Leigh rugby and could often be heard,lets say, voicing her opinions to the officials. RIP Kath x

Known Kath for a number of years, very sad at her passing, matches will not be the same without her. RIP Kath, you were a much loved member of the community and will be greatly missed by those who knew you.
