A very young relative of mine would love to go. Brierley is already one of his hero's, It would have been great to get a few of our junior centurions down and create a buzz around the stall and around the Leigh Centurions name,
Unfotuantely I have just been told by my daughter, 2pm on Friday is school time and many other people wili inevitably be at work.
I am not knocking this venture at all as I think its great but the timing of the official opening is just a little bizzare .
However it will still be a great outlet for the club with substantial passing trade(especially Saturdays)
Perphaps its down to commitments of Andy, Im sure there will be something still going on when the kids finish school. Why not ring the club and ask if the players could stay on at bit longer.
It is possibly a case that the press photographer can only come at 2pm and hey presto Mr Burnham's diary will only havea 2pm free slot as well ,along of course with Shandy Bass's diary.
They appear to be a double act these days, Messers Burnham and Bass.
