The one thing it does is make the losing team fight to the end if there is a sniff of the bonus point but what I don't like is, as you say ,is it gives a false reading of the league table sometimes as you can have 2 teams were one wins 3 out of 5 the other wins 2 from 5 but also gets 3 bonus and could also have a better points difference putting them above the other which for me is wrong

I'm not bothered about the bonus point. It seems to make losing team try harder whiich in my view is a good thing.
Generally, the good teams are at the top of the table and bad ones are at the bottom and the bonus point makes no real difference.

I Think It should be Scrapped

Work the table out at the end of the season and you'll see it makes little difference if any. You might get the odd team being a place higher than they would but that's usually because they lost a lot of close matches. I think it would be fairer to have 4 points up for grabs. If you win by more than 12 you get 4 points, if you win by 12 or less you get 3 points with the other point going to the losing team.

I think it a good system, and 1 reason why our league is so condensed.

Halifax losing 32-6 and went hell for leather for a BP in the end. Its how it should be.

In SL, Fax would have lost 50-6 as it would not make one iota.

It what makes a competative league. Swinton deserved their point on Sunday thats for sure.

I think we can go one further and have winning and losing BP like RU. That way, we could have a try fest, but maybe the 12 could be cut to 6.
