A neighbour of mine has a son who has watched leigh a couple of times over the years, and the whole family are bolton season ticket holders. His son and four mates have bought a season ticket for under sixteens to watch the warriors, all home games league and cup for £27
Now thats a good deal and will attract future fans.
I think this has been raised before and the junior season tickets are effectively subsidised by the TV money each SL club receives along with backers prepared to write off losses etc. We can't compete with that, simple as that. We just have to create a culture where kids are proud to support their own town club and don't need to travel to Wigan to watch good rugby in a good atmosphere at a modern ground.
A load of unaccompanied 15/16 year olds to a friday night game is a recipe for disaster - they will be joining that Brigantes lot, hacking the rest off. This offer wont tempt many Leigh lads, our core market for kids, as the cost of bus fares and time they would get home on a Friday would put most off.
We have to accept that unless his Dad is a Leyther then we will not attract any Hinterlanders, we should be doing our best to attract parent/child fans via ticket offers to the LSV, not worrying what some Humble Chavs are doing with their pocket money.
