To be honest I thought he was no different to any young player in leigh colours today. And to be a bit picky thought he poor defending his own line wether that is because he doesn't know our defensive patterns or match nerves, can see why big nose smith as sent him out into the big bad world to see what he can do standing on his own two feet and not surrround by world class players.
I suspect he will play 2 more and a super league club will get him off us
well i thought he went ok today, took his try welll, as for defence, well we let in some soft tries, can't blame him soley for them, his work rate was good, went acting half a few times, and generally tried to get involved.
He would have had more to do if Riddy had let the ball go more in the first half. Some poor kicking and too much of it. Improved in the second half though.
Not trying to be too critical of Riddy I am a fan of his just thought his first half was a little below par. Evans made a solid debut I am looking forward to seeing what he can do with more ball in hand.
hes probably only done 2 training sessions before he played yesterday, so I think he did really well. Cant wait to see how he goes when hes settled in the team.
