Leigh Miners entertain Thatto Heath Crusaders tomorrow evening in there first home game of the new NCL season, 7-30pm kick off at Twist Lane. Miners will be looking to make a winning start to there home campaign and make it three wins from three but can expect a tough test from a Thatto side who comfortably beat miners last year in the National Cup and are coming in tomorrows game on the back of an excellent 56-6 home win against Wath Brow Hornets last Wednesday.

Leigh Miners 12 v 38 Thatto Heath

Leigh Miners came crashing back down to earth tonight with a mighty bang after being outplayed by an excellent well drilled Thatto Heath side 38-12 at Twist Lane. Thatto dominated from the first whistle being took around the field by there half backs and hooker along with strong go forward they took control of the game scoring four 1st half tries along with five goals to dominate the first half and take a well deserved 26-0 lead into the half time break.

Thatto increased there lead to 32-0 just after the break as they once again came out of the blocks strongly, Miners scored to consulation tries in the second half, Tom Dawson scoring both with Tom Bradbury landing the conversions to give the score 32-12. The scoring was finished off by the visitors in the final minute to give them a comfortable 38-12 victory. On tonights evidence Thatto will be a leading force in the NCL this season, For Miners they will have to regroup and quickly as they face a tough trip to leaders Skirlaugh this Saturday.
