TBH the Willows is as good as some in the SL now, I have no gripes with Salford being in SL or Widnes when they go up, the more the merrier this side of the Pennines for me, I just hope that the 'playing field' is level and the whole process is transparent when the decision is made.

Of the 'old' grounds the Willows IMO is one of the better ones, they certainly need to move out of the area though, and don't ever make the mistake of parking up at Ladywell and catching the tram.

Salford need to move from the area as much (or even more?) than they need a new stadium.

I love the Willows and prefer 'old' grounds to new shiny boxes (LSV included, sorry).

However I'm not so much of a flat-capper that I can't see the need for RL team to get the new stadiums built.




You had probs at the tram parkand-ride? Never heard of there being any.

When we played you in SL it was a friday night game and a few local scumbags were on the tram, us in our Leigh shirts were easy targets, we just ignored them but they got off with us and at one point it looked like they were going to carry out their threats, luckily for us a Police van stopped and they seem to know one another, we decided to have a little jog whilst we had chance, we got a taxi back.

Not really a Salford RL problem, just the locals but I wouldn't go to the Willows that way ever again its quite an uncomfortable walk (run) from the tram stop to the ground.
