Just got back from your game against Toulouse. Enjoyed seeing what a lively and colourful crowd you are!

These are the provisional plans for the day on the 17th: It would be good to get some feedback about interest and numbers.

A barbeque lunch is planned from midday onwards at the ground open to all
(Our ground only has stands on two sides, the ends are open and have a lot of space. There will be a marquee and there is also a clubhouse.)

The game starts at 4pm. Afterwards there'll be refreshments at the clubhouse available until around 8pm.

The centre of town is just a few minutes walk away, with many bars and restaurants.
(THERE IS A PRIVATE INITIATIVE (i.e not the club) TO ORGANISE COACHES TO GET YOU BACK TO CARCASSONNE AT THE END OF THE EVENING AS THERE IS NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT AVAILABLE. HOWEVER WE NEED TO KNOW NOW ROUGHLY HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL NEED TRANSPORT.

One bus can do 100 people in 2 trips. I saw about 150 of you in Toulouse? Are you all coming to Limoux too?

Keep those posts coming, I've noted those who've already said they're interested, no need to post again. Remember also to say how many people it means when you say "we".

Thought I'd leave you guys a contact number in Limoux for any problems you might encounter, whether it be local info needed to get to the ground or how to find the bus back home (10€, not a free trip Im afraid) or the nearest chemist for alka seltzer.
Yes, at the moment there are a few problems with train strikes. It should be OK by Saturday but I'll keep you posted on here about developments. (Bear in mind that hitching is an option if the worst comes to the worst, particularly on the road from Carcassonne to Limoux, as everyone understands how poor the public transport system is here... You just have to be careful not to spill your beer in the car)

By the way, in an interview with the local press here, Robbie Paul said "The Leigh fans are great; having a very vocal support in the stands really does help us on the field. I think sometimes fans generally underestimate the effect they have on us as players".....So there you are you've been told.

Hitchhiking!?!?! Wish Id have thought of that last week, would have saved a fortune!!
How many home fans are you expecting to turn out?

yeh,you can hitchhike and if you are coming from Toulouse the easiest place to pick up a lift is at the 'peage' at the entrance to the motorway at the barrier where every car has to stop to pick up a toll ticket - car hire (from the airport for example) is another option but you will obviously need your driving licence - bon voyage

The rail europe site is down, can you check something for us.

We can get to Paris but need to know some options for trains to Carcassonne via either Avignon or Toulouse on Friday. I know there are plenty of options but cant work out which lines are striking or not.

Any ideas?

Don't think there will be many for the midnight bus now! Really gutted we can't make it
