A young Warriors side were defeated 14-16 at Leigh Centurions on Sunday. The side was made up of Reserve and Academy players and Wigan ran their bigger more mature opponents close.

Shaun Wane commented "We knew Leigh were a big physical team and we are still learning a lot of new stuff that Michael has brought in. It did the job, I thought it was a much improved second half, the first half was a little bit disappointing.

Apart from Goulden, Nanyn, Hill, Armistead, there wasn't much difference.
It was hardly MEN against Boys. I guess we were a bigger side, JUST !
