My point demon uk is. Alot of super league teams do special rates on games known for poor traveling supprt,,,Warrington do friend for a fiver for crusader and harliquin games ect. Wigan droped the prices for the Leeds game its about bums on seats and capturing new support so imo that is something leigh dont do. As a rugby town with great amatuer teams it deserves to be promoted as a super league club..... that is your aim after all. Or are you happy to stay where you are and moan about everything that the team achieves?
But the difference is that those Super League clubs have the larger income from other games to offset price reductions etc, a luxury that we don't enjoy.
Only saw you moaning. How do we know that they won't be doing offers over the course of this season. Can only do so many otherwise it completely devalues the season ticket. Bring a friend for a fiver just results in someone who would normally pay £14 only paying £5 and the extra that it might bring in do not cover for the usual attendees taking advantage of the offer.
Some people seem to have got the wrong end of the stick as far as my earlier post
I defended Mr McGuire the w1g4n coach before the game as with the game against Warrington this week they were correct in sending a ' weakened ' squad to Leigh , However to send the team they did [ a combination of reserves and u 18's was in my opinion an insult to all who attended
5 or 6 genuine 1 st teamers playing 30 minutes each would have given us a better game overall , it totally demotivated our players in my opinion , we were in a no win situation , while the w1g4n youngsters were in a win only situation
Lets be straight here , we wanted this game as much as a revenue earner as a test game , any prospect of next years game being well supported has now gone
