Have you carried out the risk assessment and a method staement for the journey to the said watering hole ?

Indeed we have, the Optimists consider safety as of paramount importance.
The taxi driver will be asked to produce all relevant documents, and upon satisfaction will be instucted to fully complete a safe working plan form. Upon commencement of journey we fully expect him/her to fully adhere by the stipulations of the highway code.
Upon arrival at said " watering hole " we shall insist that all licensing documents are valid, but above all we shall be insisting on the production of all c.o.s.h.h reports stating the effects and hazards of all liquids we intend consuming on the premises.

I've just come back from my Mums and I got stuck on the ice!!



My mum lives on a corner and when I'm coming home I turn around in front of her house. Anyway I got half way around and needed to reverse in order to complete my circle and my wheels just started spinning and my car began floating over the ice.

I had to get my Dad and his neighbour to come across to help me but none of them could traverse the ice sheet that's covering the road so I told them to get the cat litter!!







So there was my Dad in the middle of the street, scattering cat litter all over the road so they could reach me. They then put some under my wheels so I could get a bit of grip and off I went!!

Steves Dad had the same trouble Christmas day nite when he ran Steves Nan home to the same street, he used salt hot water and mats to get unstuck, only to end up on the pavement and stuck again, he got out after half an hour lol
