gaz is a mate of mine and ill go on record to say leigh have done well to sign him because there were a few ova clubs after him (some super league) hes a good player just needs time to develope under millward and co he'll do well

That lad should not have bothered with normal training - they should just have spent hours lobbing things at him from every direction, until he grasped the concept of catching. Then continue that, but with a rugby ball!!

If he could catch he'd have been a world beater!!

I'll remember him best at the Airport coming back from Llorett, he was at the front of the queue and they called to board the plane by row number, he produced his ticket and was sent back - because his wasn't on one of the 'rows' called, his face was sheer panic and he rushed back to Tony Benson saying 'Hey Tony they aren't allowing Kiwis on the plane', well it seemed funny at the time.

Scored 4/5 tries at the Skolars one year, didn't he? Could catch pigeons, that lad.

He could unfortuntely that was all he could catch!! And he couldn't catch Calvert



Interstingly Benson said that Paul Ballard was faster than Manu!
