5 searching mum s bedroom when she went out prior to the big day
6 trying to stay awake and see santa
7 bringing games in school last day
8 listening to the Queen because you had to
9 watching Jason and the Agronauts
10 hiding from your aunt who said give your Auntie Alice a big kiss, yuck!

Not in any particular order but thsese are mine

Pulling the tape off the quality street tin then putting it back when we had raided it.

Gorging on selection boxes and feeling sick after my 5th "Marathon" bar and 3rd packet of "Opal Fruits".

Showing my age here but Old Mother Riley was on every Christmas ,and we always had nuts { the ones in shells } and a tangerine in our stocking ,not a stocking they have now by the way

christmas eve party at butts bridge and catching the 10 o clock last bus home, how exciting.

A chocolate orange off my gran, going to a rugby match (not a friendly one) on boxing day, trying (and failing to get the chocolate decorations off the tree without my mum knowing, being allowed a bit of wine with christmas dinner,

Harvey's bristol cream sherry, Egg flip, turkey Lobby, sherry trifle, Party 4 & 6 tins of beer & home made mince pies with brandy sauce. Oh and pear shaped lights on the xmas tree.

When it snowed, me and brother peppering kids on their new christmas toys going past with snowballs and hiding behind the car, not that long ago really but they were wigan kids so its all good!

Watching Jason and the Agronauts !!!

Will be watching my DVD again this Xmas - awesome film.

My mum was a district nurse and used to come home with all sorts of gifts. One Christmas she brought home a big tin of Brasil nuts - which were very hard to find / expensive in those days - they had been given to her by an old lady patient. After Christmas she went back on her round and the lady said 'nurse I have some more of them there nuts you like' - 'it's OK' said my mum 'you keep them' - 'no nurse you can have them - it takes me all my time just to suck the chocolate of them!



True story - I have never liked Brazil nuts since (unless they still have the chocolate on them)
