Just been on Salfords board and they are not very happy at the ticket price for the firendly. I myself thought it was a bit pricey but that won't stop me going. Can anyone shed any light on why they are the same as a normal game. I know it is not our ground and we have to pay for it's running costs but surely a familly or £12/£13 would have made it a little bit more attractive.

At this time of year we should reach a deal with Salford and target the family market, £30 2+2 would be a great offer. If Salfords demands are 50% of profits from ticket sales then our hands will be tied.

I can understand the prices being what they are if they have to share the gate ,on the other hand the Quins gate will be all Leighs so maybe that should have been priced lower at £10 maybe

Would imagine Leigh will be covering their travelling expenses (or at least part of it) though, so that's another cost to consider.

Think the problem stems from the LSV wanting the same amount of cash for 'running' the game rather than being a percentage of the gate etc, though admittedly I haven't any foundation for that and is just the impression I've got from when this topic has cropped up in the past. Either way, all the parties involved should be getting their heads together and making these games as attractive as possible, and I'm afraid £14 to watch Salford's kids doesn't exactly give me images of a packed house.

But it wasn't their kids last time was it Matt. I think they will bring a good mixture with only the overseas player missing. Anyway heres hoping. It will be a severe knock to Mr McCreas future employment prospects if we beat them even if it is a team of kids.
